Close to the water and along the ditches one can see other jewels of the air. Dragonflies are flying artists.

The museum Haus der Natur in Salzburg lists within its archive of biodiversity 27 species of dragonflies in the nature sanctuary of Zeller See south shore and adjacent protected areas. Two typical species are the Rush Darner / Moorland Hawker Aeshna juncea and the Banded Darter Sympetrum pedemontanum.
